its really frustrating - i work in quite a large pre-school and we have recently had an recruitment drive. due to shortages in 'qualified' people in the area we have resorted to employing people who don't have any child care/teaching qualifications. is this right? how would you feel as a parent if you found out your child was being cared for by unqualified people? they advetisde themselves as using 'qualified staff' so i think its all a bit of joke in honesty and considering moving on.

Hailey don't make any knee jerk reactions. For what it's worth I agree. If they are advertising 'qualified staff' then they should be qualified.
Is there not someone you can talk to about this at your school? Manager etc? Out of interest, is it private or mainstream? |

i agree, people with qualifications should be rewarded for gaining that qualification otherwise whats the point of putting in the work to get it in the first place.
